All this work is made possible through the League’s Redwood Land Fund, which not only gives us the foundational support for vital ongoing projects, but also allows us to move quickly to make critical land acquisitions. Singing voice! Sing along to our forest-themed ‘12 Days of Redwoods’ With a nod to the classic holiday carol, we offer our own redwoods-themed song that features many of the amazing creatures that dwell in the forests. Fun 10 amazing redwoods holiday adventures Majestic redwood forests are fantastic places to experience the magic of the holiday season and create unforgettable memories with your loved ones. There’s something for everyone, from wheelchair-accessible train rides to challenging backcountry snow adventures, even activities for your dogs. Stewardship Uniting to protect sacred redwoods Respect for Big Sur’s ancient trees inspires Esselen Tribe members to share their traditional stewardship knowledge. Restoration ‘So long, Long Meadow, we’re packed for Packsaddle!’ As winter approaches, League staff members are celebrating a productive work season in the giant sequoia range. They’re happy about the completion of risk-reduction and wildfire resilience work in Long Meadow Grove, which burned in the 2021 Windy Fire.
